Blood shortage in Chandigarh PGI blood bank

CHANDIGARH, JANUARY 14 (TRINUE) Due to the rising corona, there has been a shortage of blood in the blood bank of PGI Chandigarh. The daily requirement of 250-300 units of blood for PGI’s Department of Surgery, Emergency, ICU, Thalassemia, Cancer patients and pregnant women. The PGI administration has called upon the people of 18-60 years of the tricity to donate blood for the critical patients admitted in PGI, so that their lives can be saved. A PGI spokesperson said that blood donors can contact the Blood Donation Center (Room No. 107), Advanced Trauma Center from 9 am to 7.30 pm for this.
