Slogans of TRS members continued in Lok Sabha on farmers’ issues

Like the last few days, members of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) continued to raise slogans near the plinth in the Lok Sabha on Thursday. The Question Hour continued amid sloganeering by TRS members and the proceedings were not adjourned. Today has been the first day in the winter session that started last Monday when Question Hour was over. Supplementary questions related to ministries of Jal Shakti, Civil Aviation, Road Transport and Minority Affairs were asked during the Question Hour. With the commencement of Question Hour, TRS members reached near the plinth, raising slogans. He also had placards in his hands. The TRS members wanted to raise issues related to the purchase of paddy in Telangana, demand for compensation for the families of farmers who lost their lives during the farmers’ agitation and legal guarantee of Minimum Support Price (MSP). Leader of Congress in Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury asked why the government is not listening to the members of TRS. During this, Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar was present in the House. TRS leader Nama Nageswara Rao said Telangana is one of the leading states producing paddy, but the central government is not procuring paddy. After this the TRS members walked out of the house. While leaving the house, he tore the placards and threw their pieces near the plinth. DMK members also raised slogans in the House for a while on the issues of ‘smart city’ and Haj flights.
