Samajwadi Party (SP) national president Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday targeted the government at the inauguration of the Jewar International Airport, saying that what kind of government is this which is selling airports on one hand and building new ones on the other. He said that if people make up their mind, the BJP will face a historic defeat in the 2022 Uttar Pradesh assembly elections because no government would have given so much pain to the people as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government has given. . The former Chief Minister said at the Jankranti Maharally of SP’s ally Janwadi Party Socialist here, “Bharatiya Janata Party people have gone to lay the foundation stone today. How is it the people of Bharatiya Janata Party who on one hand are selling the airport and on the other hand they are building the airport. Who will trust their words? On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the international airport at Jewar in Gautam Budh Nagar. This was the point of the SP chief. Yadav said, “The BJP had said that the one running with a chappal will run by an aeroplane. How many poor people have traveled by plane? All the airports in the country are in loss. Delhi airport is in loss of several thousand crores. Air India is in loss. Private airlines are also making losses. This new airport is being built because the Bharatiya Janata Party will sell it when it is ready. Yadav said, ‘If government institutions start selling, then what will happen to the future of the coming generation? Who will give them jobs, who will give them employment? If government institutions are sold then who will give reservation?’
On the withdrawal of three agricultural laws by the central government, the SP leader said, “The government has withdrawn three laws because it knew that this time farmers will not allow them to enter the village.” Farmers will answer them by vote. So far only three laws have been withdrawn, no such decision has been taken so that our farmers should get the guarantee of Minimum Support Price (MACP). When MSP is not available, we socialists will continue to fight for the poor and farmers. The government is not able to pay the sugarcane arrears of farmers. After all, how will the farmer be happy?
Targeting Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Yadav said, “What big work has the Chief Minister done Baba? He could not inaugurate any work that he had laid his foundation stone for. Ever since Baba became the Chief Minister, he has turned UP behind. The only thing this government can do is to change the name, change the colour. This time the public has decided to change those who change this name.
