The political stir regarding the alliance in the UP assembly elections has intensified. Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav has met the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader on Wednesday after meeting with Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) President Jayant Chaudhary a day earlier.

Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh met SP President Akhilesh Yadav at the Lohia Trust office on Wednesday. The two leaders have not given any information about their discussion for the time being, but sources said that the Aam Aadmi Party MP has submitted a list of 25 seats to Akhilesh Yadav.

However, AAP had earlier announced that it would contest all 403 assembly seats and had also released its first list of candidates. On this new stir, an AAP leader said, “If the priority is to oust this government, then we all have to make some sacrifices and bring all the parties on one platform.”

Samajwadi Party has already joined hands with RLD, Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) and Mahan Dal for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. Apart from these, talks of alliance with Akhilesh’s uncle Shivpal Yadav’s party PSP are also going on, which is likely to be decided soon.
