Due to crop failure due to rain, there was a decrease in arrivals
Mohit Singh, a wholesaler of tomatoes in Panipat vegetable market, said that due to the rains, a lot of tomato crop was damaged in Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. Due to this, there was a decrease in the arrival of tomatoes and when the cost increased due to the wedding season, the price of tomatoes increased. He told that there has been some increase in the arrivals since last 2-3 days, then there has been some softening in the prices. On the other hand, if the local tomato of the state comes in the month of January, then the price will fall.
