Earlier on Sunday, 15 new ministers were sworn in as ministers in the Ashok Gehlot government in a simple ceremony held at the Raj Bhavan. Of these, 11 took oath as cabinet ministers, while 4 as ministers of state. Apart from these, six MLAs were appointed as advisors to the Chief Minister.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has also divided the portfolio among the ministers after the cabinet expansion. In this, as before, CM Ashok Gehlot has kept Home, Finance, Information Technology and Communication departments with him. Similarly, the portfolios of Urban Development Minister Shanti Dhariwal and Agriculture Minister Lal Chand Kataria continue as before. Whereas Energy and Water Minister BD Kalla will now be the education minister of the state.
In the new cabinet of the Gehlot government of Rajasthan, Prasadilal Meena has got the Health Department, Pramod Jain Bhaya has got the Mining and Petroleum Department. Udayalal Anjana has been given the Cooperation Department, Pratap Singh Khachariyawas has been given Food and Civil Supplies, Saleh Mohammad has been given Minorities Department, Hemaram Chaudhary has been given Forest and Environment Department, Mahendrajit Singh Malviya has been given Water Resources and Water Resources Planning Department. Mahesh Joshi has been given PHED and Ground Water Department, Ramlal Jat has been given Revenue and Ramesh Meena has been given Panchayati Raj Department.
Similarly, in the cabinet, Vishvendra Singh has been given Tourism and Civil Aviation Department, Mamta Bhupesh Bairwa, Women and Child Welfare and Child Empowerment Planning Department. Tikaram Julie has been given the Department of Social Justice, Empowerment and Prisons, Govind Ram Meghwal has been given the Department of Disaster Management and Relief, Administrative Reforms, Statistics and Policy Formulation and Shakuntala Rawat has been given Industries, State Enterprises and Devasthan Department. Apart from these, portfolios have also been allocated to the ministers of state.
Earlier, the much-awaited reshuffle in the cabinet of Ashok Gehlot government in Rajasthan was completed on Sunday. 15 Congress MLAs took oath as ministers. Governor Kalraj Mishra administered the oath of office and secrecy to 11 legislators as cabinet ministers and four as ministers of state at the Raj Bhavan.
