The stock market fell for the second consecutive day, Sensex down 456 points

The stock markets fell for the second consecutive day on Wednesday. The BSE Sensex closed down by 456 points due to profit-booking by investors in shares that reached higher price levels. Nifty also closed below the level of 18,300. According to traders, there was heavy selling pressure in midcaps and smallcaps (midcaps and smallcaps) due to higher prices. The 30-share Sensex closed at 61,259.96, down 456.09 points, or 0.74 per cent. The Nifty of the National Stock Exchange closed at 18,266.60, down 152.15 points, or 0.83 per cent. Titan was the biggest loser among Sensex stocks, down 2.97 per cent. Besides, HUL, NTPC, L&T, Bajaj Finserv, PowerGrid and Mahindra & Mahindra were the major gainers. Bharti Airtel, on the other hand, led the gainers with the biggest gain of 4.03 per cent. SBI, IndusInd Bank, Bajaj Finance, Axis Bank and HCL Tech also gained.
