Petrol, diesel price hiked again today, diesel crosses Rs 99 per liter in many cities

Petrol and diesel prices were hiked by 35 paise per liter on Thursday, taking the fuel prices across the country to a record high. Fuel prices have been increased for the second day in a row. According to the price notification of the government retail fuel sellers, the price of petrol has gone up to a record Rs 106.54 per liter in Delhi and Rs 112.44 per liter in Mumbai. Whereas in Mumbai, diesel is now available at Rs 103.26 per liter while in Delhi it is priced at Rs 95.27 per litre. This is the second consecutive day of increase in prices. There was no change in rates on October 18 and 19, whereas prices were increased by 35 paise per liter every day for four consecutive days before that. While petrol has already touched Rs 100 per liter or more in all major cities of the country, diesel has also crossed that level in over a dozen states and Rs 100 per liter in several cities from Srinagar to Chennai. Close to a litre.
