The NCB on Wednesday claimed in the court that the probe so far has unearthed Aryan Khan’s involvement in conspiracy and his role in illegal purchase and consumption of narcotic substances. The NCB, in the affidavit filed in the court, also stated that Aryan Khan was in contact with some people who appear to be members of an international gang involved in the purchase of narcotics. The agency said that there is a need to further investigate the financial transactions abroad in this case. The NCB’s affidavit was in response to a bail plea filed by Aryan Khan in the court of Special Judge VV Patil, authorized to hear cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS). The special judge is hearing the bail plea.

The NCB said in the affidavit, “Prima facie it has been found that Arbaaz Khan has purchased narcotics from Arbaaz Merchant and his sources.” The agency said that the material found during the investigation reveals that Aryan Khan has a role in illegal purchase and marketing of narcotic substances. NCB said that the investigation so far revealed that accused Akshit Kumar and Shivraj Harijan supplied charas to Aryan Khan and Arbaaz Merchant. The NCB said, “The role and involvement of Aryan Khan in the case is a serious offense under the NDPS Act including illegal drug trafficking. It seems that this applicant had nexus with other accused.” Significantly, the court is also hearing the bail pleas of Arbaaz Merchant, Munmun Dhamecha, Nupur Satija, Akshit Kumar, Mohak Jaiswal, Shreyas Iyer and Avin Sahu. So far 20 people have been arrested in this case.
