Rohit Sharma left Suresh Raina behind, reached number three in the list of highest run-scorers in IPL

Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma has become the third batsman to cross the 5500-run mark in the Indian Premier League. With this, he has also come third in the list of batsmen who have scored the most runs in the IPL. Rohit achieved this milestone against Kolkata Knight Riders on Thursday.

Rohit has now moved to number three, leaving Suresh Raina behind. He left behind Suresh Raina who has 5495 runs in 201 matches. Rohit Sharma is the most successful captain of IPL. Under his captaincy, Mumbai Indians have won the title five times.

Virat Kohli is at the forefront of the highest run scorer in IPL. He has 6081 runs in 200 matches. He is the only batsman to score 6000 runs in IPL. On the other hand, Shikhar Dhawan is at number two with 5619 runs.

Earlier, Kolkata Knight Riders captain Eoin Morgan won the toss and elected to field. Rohit, who did not play against Chennai Super Kings, is seen in color in this match. Rohit hit a four on the very first ball of the match.
