New Delhi, September 14 (Agency)

Gold prices on Tuesday fell by Rs 88 to Rs 47,005 per 10 grams in the local futures market as speculators reduced their positions amid weak spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold for delivery in December fell by Rs 88, or 0.19 per cent, to Rs 47,005 per 10 grams. It had a business turnover of 6,369 lots. Market analysts attributed the fall in gold futures to offloading of positions by traders. Globally, gold fell by 0.13 per cent to USD 1,792 an ounce in New York.
