Kia EV6 electric car launched to run 475 km in single charge, know price and features

South Korean carmaker KIA has launched its latest electric car EV6 in the domestic market. This car is also to be launched in the global market and for a long time the company is also taking its bookings. The car received a tremendous response after the booking started in Korea. The company has informed that the EV6 has received more than 30,000 orders, out of which 8,800 orders are from Europe and America. The EV6 electric car is built on the Electric-Global Module Platform (E-GMP) developed by Hyundai specifically for electric vehicles. The biggest highlight of this car is its range and power. Capable of catching a speed of 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.5 seconds, this car can run a maximum of 475 km on a full charge.

According to News Daily Korea, the standard model of the Kia EV6 is priced between 47.3 million won to 51.55 million won (approximately Rs 30.70 lakh to Rs 33.5 lakh). At the same time, the long range model has been launched in the price range from 51.20 million won to 55.95 million won (approximately Rs 33.23 lakh to 36.31 lakh). The top trim GT-Line is priced at 56.8 million won (approximately Rs 36.86 lakh).

The EV6 electric car comes equipped with strong specifications. The two wheel drive option of its standard trim uses a 125kW power motor, which can accelerate the car from 0 to 100 kmph in just 6.2 seconds. At the same time, a 173kW electric motor has been given in its four wheel drive option. The two wheel drive option of the GT Line trim uses an electric motor of 168kW capacity, which generates 229PS of power. The company claims that it can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 5.2 seconds. Even more powerful will be its four wheel drive trim, which has a motor of 239kW capacity, which will generate 325PS of power.

The most powerful will be the GT Line trim, which uses a dual motor of 430kW capacity. It generates torque of 740Nm. The company claims that this trim can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.5 seconds. The top speed of this trim will be 260 kmph.

The electric sedan will be sold in two capacity battery pack options. In this, the first option will be a 58kwh battery pack and the second will be a 77.4kwh battery pack. Thanks to these, the car can achieve a range of 370 km and 475 km respectively. Kia claims that the battery included in the EV6 electric car can charge up to 80 percent in just 18 minutes.
