Hearing on the anticipatory bail application of Panchkula builders accused of cheating Olympic winner Karnam Malleswari on Monday

Builders accused of duping Olympic winner Karnam Malleswari of more than 24 lakhs have applied for anticipatory bail in the court. The court has decided to hear on this on Monday. It is noteworthy that Malleshwari, a resident of Yamunanagar and the recently appointed Vice Chancellor of the Sports University of Delhi, is setting up a Weight and Power Lifting Center in Yamunanagar under the aegis of Karnam Malleswari Foundation. Karnam Malleswari lodged a complaint with the local police regarding the construction of this building to be built with the amount of 5 crores given by the Central Government, that he had been cheated of more than 24 lakhs. The work was not completed within the stipulated time, while the measurement shown was actually less than that. Due to this the builders took more than 24 lakhs from him. Police have registered a case against these builders of Panchkula under various sections. The builders have filed a petition in the Yamunanagar court seeking anticipatory bail. On which the court has fixed the date for Monday.
