The opposition has sought discussion on a range of issues including the COVID situation and the threat of a third wave, farmers’ protests, perceived threats to cooperative federalism, relations with Afghanistan and China. Both Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha will function from 11 am to 6 pm. 19 sittings are scheduled for this session. The session will conclude on August 13.
As the coronavirus pandemic continues, the session will be held in both the Houses of Parliament, with all necessary protocols and arrangements for accommodating MPs on social distancing basis.
